Personal: Instinct over thought

Just another author, traveller making his way through the amazing journey called life. Life is essentially a collection  amazingly unique and subjective experiences which somehow become remarkly similar when seen at a universal level. 

I feel that I have been shackled down, as is probably true for most, fundamentally unable to break through the cycle of definitions, atrribution of importance, followed by an incessant pursuit for societal accceptance through fulfilment of said definitions. Although, every single one of these pursuits has only resulted in the same amount of emptiness as I started with, an increased sense of ego, and a longer list of pursuits still to be completed.

Over the last 36 years, life has taken me through enough exhilirating ups, and brilliantly beautiful downs, to make me realise that it is all in my head. The need, the insecurity, the desire to prove something to others, all while completely disregarding what my instinct is telling me. Not listening to my inner voice, one bit.

In 2019 summer, I arrived at the point where I understood this enough to start listening to my inner voice, my instinct. This has sparked the next step in my journey, which this website is a core part of. Through this website, I want to share my experiences and the consequent evolution of my thought processses with an audience willing to listen and hopefully share back. 

Hopefully, begin a conversation around how we should probably be thinking less and feeling, accumulating less and experiencing more.

I am an Engineer, MBA by education; a corporate strategy consultant by profession; and an author by volition. I have served in senior positions within large corporates, advising/providing consulting services until early 2020 when I decided to take the plunge into authoring. I have been writing on and off for a while now, but I have just recently completed my first book which is now being edited for publishing. I am currently in the process of consolidating my writings, thought pieces, and poetry here.
